Survivor: El Salvador is the 5th season of Survivor Sequence.
Production[]
During Congo, Rob wanted to host a season. He asked Genki to help him out and they brought along Nic. Because of personal reasons, Genki dropped out. Connor was the season's admin. Nic created the season's logo, and Cat made the buffs and gifs.
The blog for this season is Survivor: El Salvador and the tag is #ididntconsent. Applications were opened to newbies May 13th, 2017 and opened to returnees May 26, 2017. Applications closed June 2nd, 2017. The game began June 7th, 2017 and ended July 22nd, 2017 with Richie beating allies Chips and Ashton in a 6-1-0 vote.
Twist/Changes[]
- Returnees - Five contestants from the four previous Survivor Sequence seasons (Congo, Las Vegas, Sweden, and Jeju Island) were brought back on one tribe, Soyapango.
- Four Tribes of Five - At the beginning, there were four tribes of five, three tribes containing the newbies and one tribe containing the returnees.
- One World - The castaways were able to talk to members of the other tribe throughout the duration of the pre-merge.
- Schoolyard Pick - After the first tribal, a reward challenge was issued where the top three scores would receive an advantage in the game. This turned out to be team captains, where they were able to start the schoolyard pick in to three tribes of six.
- Sacrifice - At the schoolyard pick, there was an uneven amount of castaways remaining. One person would be left out, and they would be eliminated from the game, no redemption island and no exile. This twist went unused because Lexi quit during the schoolyard pick.
- Double Tribal Council - At the Final 14, the castaways were swapped into two tribes of seven and both tribes had to go to tribal.
- Sacrificial Lamb - At the Final 10 immunity challenge, contestants would pick what advantages and/or disadvantages they would want in order to win immunity, They gained what they pick, which included your vote being revealed, a vote steal, forfeiting immunity until Final 7, etc.
